TRADE MATRIX APP // Product Design + Front-End Build
Trade Matrix is a responsive desktop-and-mobile web app I designed and coded to solve a real user pain point: tracking profit-and-loss across multiple brokerage platforms that don’t integrate (Robinhood, Webull, E-Trade, etc.).
I approached the project like a lightweight personal fintech dashboard. The core experience focuses on clarity, speed of entry, and at-a-glance performance visibility.
Key UX Objectives:
• Create an intuitive manual-entry workflow for adding trades
• Provide immediate visual feedback across days, months, and overall progress
• Maintain a clean, legible interface in both desktop and mobile contexts
• Reduce cognitive load through consistent card patterns and color coding

UI / Feature Breakdown:
• Dynamic Daily Cards: Each new entry generates a modular “trade card.” Additional entries for the same day automatically merge—updating totals and avoiding clutter.
• Auto-Calculated Insights: Daily averages, monthly totals, goal tracking in real time.
• Responsive Layout: Built with flexible CSS + JS so charts, cards, and sidebars resize intelligently on any screen size.
• Progress Visualization: A real-time earnings chart and horizontal goal meter provide simple, immediate interpretation of trading performance.
• Monthly Reset Logic: At month’s end, the dashboard automatically archives and refreshes the dataset for a new cycle.
